The Warrnambool Tourism Association is a voluntary organisation with a membership made up from
accommodation, hospitality and visitor attraction businesses.
The association’s primary focus is to assist in the marketing of Warrnambool and to enhance the visitors
experience once in our City.
Your membership is essential for the Association and Shipwreck Coast Tourism to successfully undertake
promotions and activities that ultimately benefit your business.
Purpose of the Warrnambool Tourism Association.
- Liaising with appropriate groups in the community and working in consultation with regional organisations and the Visitor Information Centre.
- To promote Warrnambool and its attractions in an endeavour to enhance the visitors
experience and extend their length of stay.
- Promote Warrnambool as the major regional destination.
- Encourage maximum spending by our visitors.
- To ensure visitors experience the highest possible level of satisfaction with the
products and services they are offered in our area.
Purpose of Shipwreck Coast Tourism.
Shipwreck Coast Tourism undertakes extensive national and international marketing
campaigns on your behalf to attract visitors to the region.
The Shipwreck Coast region includes the City of Warrnambool, Moyne and
Corangamite Shires. Warrnambool Toursim Association and Shipwreck Coast Tourism
work together in a partnership role for the benefit of all members.

The Association is active in:

- Beach Walks - Bike Rides - Heritage Walks etc.
- Whale Promotion:
A campaign to promote the annual return of the Southern Right Whales to Logans
Beach.
Includes:
- Whale accommodation material directly marketed and distributed to whale watchers
on the whale register.
- Production of a Whale Guide Publication.
- Television advertising campaign promoting the whales and relevant packages.
- Undertake partnership ‘Off-Peak’ promotions with other associations and
organisations.
- Regional & metropolitan press/radio campaign.
- Activities:
Identify/co-ordinate and work with local bodies to create and enhance visitor activities
within the City.
- Fun4Kids Festival - New Years Eve Family Fair - May Racing Carnival - Sporting Events and
Activities -Conferences.
